**RACES CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER**
With the weekly racing season nearing the end, IMCA Modifieds return to action with Pure Stocks, Modlites, Robert Horne Ford Bombers and at the end of the evening, Lady Stocks. The 2018 Arizona Speedway IMCA Modified division has saw 8 different feature winners in 12 events. With 2 races left, the division has IMCA regional, state and IMCA track champion, Chas Baca Jr holding a solid 24 point lead over Tyler Mecl in second with Rob Colclasure in third. Baca has three wins at the speedway in 2018 as does Mecl, Colclasure has one credited win one the season.
The pure stock battle continues for the track championship as Kevin Parker picked up last weekends win to move himself solely back into the lead as Larry Brigner crossed the line in second to fall one point behind in the series. Darryn Werkmeister finished the race in sixth falling 17 points behind Brigner.
Robert Horne Ford Bombers continue to see consistency as key to winning the 2018 championship. Jason Knueppel leads the division with thirteen top 10’s in fourteen races on the season, six of those being top 5’s. Knueppel would like to put one in victory lane to add to that stat this Saturday night. The veteran Toby Wibeto remains in 2nd nine points ahead of Aaron Collier in third. Mike Nance moved into the forth place spot ahead of an absent Cody Parent this past Saturday.
Modlites Arizona Speedway victory lane has only saw the face of Brenden Priest in 2018 but that doesn’t tell the whole story. While the last lap is the most important, Priest has had his plate full getting there in most of those races. Sean Conyers , Steve Moriarty, John Priest and Collin Bender have all been front runners leading laps in most of the races and will look to dethrone the younger Priest this Saturday night.
Finally after a long break the Ladies of dirt track return to the stage for the forth time of the season. Powder Puffs have Michelle Halfhill leading Kailah Booty and Dirt Dolls show Kendra Tetors leading reigning champ Amanda Hasley with Abby Meulebroeck 2 points behind in third.
