ASCS WING SPRINT CARS $2000 TO WIN MOTHERS DAY SHOOTOUT

$2000 to win this Saturday nights ASCS Wing Sprint Car is what’s on the line heading into the Mother’s Day Celebration at Arizona Speedway. Along with the first 120 Mother’s in the gate getting a Rose,10 time champ Rick Ziehl brings a new found head of steam into Saturday nights feature. Leading the ASCS Southwest Series, two wins in a row have revived the 20Z team placing them out front with 430 points. Alamogordo New Mexico’s Lorne Wofford holds second in the series with 2017 champ Colton Hardy in third.

IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Modlites and Bombers also add to the card. IMCA Modifieds leader board consists of Zachary Madrid with 4 top fives on the season, followed closely by Kelsie Foley 5 points behind with 3 top five finishes which include a win and John Morris Jr in third.  Stock Cars have Joey McCullough leading the division 31 points ahead of George Fronsman and Robert Werkmeister.  Chaz Baca Jr sits on top of the Modlite division, winning four of the first five events in 2019. Brenden Priest and John Priest are hold second and third spots.  Bombers finish the evening after double features last weekend helped Michael Soboski stretch his lead to 16 over Aaron Collier and reigning champ  Jason Knueppel .

Action begins at 7:15pm Saturday May 11th at Arizona Speedway with grandstands opening at 5:00pm and pits opening at 4:00pm. Cost for admission just $18 for adults, $15 Seniors. Kids 11 and under are free. Pit passes $35 , kids 6-11 pit passes $10 and kids 5 and under free.
